These terms and conditions apply to Halliday's vintage china hire.
By placing an order with us, you are agreeing to these terms and
conditions. Goods remain property of Halliday's at all times.
The items in the collection are of 'vintage' condition, therefore
a certain degree of wear and tear is to be expected. The item
classifications used by Halliday's are to be used as a guide only.
Specific sizes and dimensions cannot be guaranteed. The items in the
collection are mix and match unless otherwise stated in the contract.
This includes the cutlery. The items in the 'Silverware' classification
are silver, silver-plated or EPNS. Halliday's reserves the right to
supply contemporary pieces where the pieces are considered appropriate
for a 'vintage' theme.
Payment, Cancellation & Charges
All goods hired will require a £150 refundable damages deposit.
When goods are received back and checked by Halliday's, the £150 deposit
will be refunded within 7 working days.
If you wish to cancel your order, the fees will be as follows:
Cancellation at least 30 days prior to event 50%
Cancellation less than 30 days prior to event 100%
Cancellation will need to be in writing.
The hire period for Halliday's is 3 days. This can be altered subject
to agreement. Any extension to the hire period must be agreed in advance
by Halliday's and will be charged at a pro rata rate. Please ask for a
quote for an extended hire period.
Halliday's agrees to hire the goods to the customer for the hire period
stated in the contract. The goods shall at all time remain property of Halliday's.
Delivery is charged at 50p/mile. Delivery costs will be agreed prior
to the delivery date.
When the goods are delivered, the customer will inspect the goods and sign
Halliday's delivery note. In the event of shortage or damage, it is the customer's
responsibility to amend this on the delivery note at the time of delivery.
If the customer fails to do this the goods will be deemed to have been delivered
in a clean and undamaged condition. If there is no one available to check the items,
the goods will be deemed to have been delivered in a clean and undamaged condition.
Whilst goods are in the customers possession (during the hire period)
goods are customers' liability.
